Organized in 2017, Welcome Home’s main purpose is to serve the newcomers and neighbors of our community - helping families rebuild lives they've left behind. The community-driven project does not limit or restrict aid to refugees based on religious or ethnic background. Currently, we serve refugees from Afghanistan, Syria and Myanmar
Aiding in the resettlement of refugees in the city of Charlotte by providing resources, training, assistance and opportunities that encourages and promotes self-sufficiency.
Help refugee families celebrate cross cultures and interconnection to the Charlotte community, while enabling and empowering the families to become community contributors.
Amarra, a first generation American and Charlottean, is our founder and executive director since 2017.

Saad is also our FOOD AND NECESSITIES Director
Brother Rahmath has been active in community work in the Charlotte area for more than a decade. He currently serves as our Director of Finances.

Isra is a first generation Afghan American who also volunteers as a medical interpreter for WH.
